2nd Workshop: “Myself and others”
“Believe in yourself and your abilities! Remember to always let others know if they are doing something that bothers you!”

Children care about what others think. They can get annoyed, upset and stressed if someone makes a negative comment about them. Some children might be able to ignore these comments and not let them get to them that much. Some children however, might even not be able to deal with these emotions at all…This can cause further stress and anxiety, which can have an impact on their ability to manage their feelings, emotions and the choices they make.

Philosophy for Children (P4C) trained educators (accredited by SAPERE, UK), Marina and Rebecca Katsaris, are excited to invite children to the second experiential workshop of the new series of workshops in order to explore ideas creatively on how they can cultivate resilience and emotional flexibility.

The workshop will be drawing inspiration from two very special paintings from the A. G. Leventis Collection, ‘Daughters of God’ by Loukia Nicolaides-Vassiliou and 'Portrait of a Woman'  by Thalia Flora-Karavia and will be combining the principles of Philosophy for Children (P4C), storytelling, drama techniques, music, and visual arts. More specifically, through role-play children explore philosophical concepts in a creative and interactive way that promotes the unfolding of feelings and emotional concerns. During this process, children have the opportunity to express themselves through self-awareness games, artistic creation, theatrical manners of expression, music and movement exercises.
