The A. G. Leventis Gallery marks its 10th anniversary with a commitment to introducing fresh initiatives and experiences, inviting everyone to explore, be inspired, and discover without being confined to the conventional museum visit. Embracing technological advancements and prioritising guest-centric approaches, the gallery undergoes transformations.

To kick off the anniversary celebrations, the focus turns to a revamped presentation of the history of Cypriot art. The permanent Cyprus Collection has undergone enhancements, revealing more works from the first-generation painters. Within the hall dedicated to the pioneers of Cypriot art, numerous artworks are introduced to redefine the visitor's experience. A notable addition is Georgios Pol. Georghiou's masterpiece, "The Rebirth of Cyprus" from 1960. This significant work is considered the pinnacle of Georgiou's artistic journey, encapsulating attitudes, thoughts, and positions on his canvas, establishing him as Cyprus's foremost political visual artist.

Another noteworthy piece is Adamantios Diamantis' "Agonia II," part of the "Agonies" series, complementing the equally iconic "Agonies Before and After." These works delve into the historical and political events that left a mark on the island during the '60s and '70s.

To showcase the newly enhanced collection, the A. G. Leventis Gallery is organising a compelling series of activities, including guided tours, lectures, and educational programs tailored for both children and adults, with a particular emphasis on schools and families.
