The A. G. Leventis Gallery is piloting an innovative programme of Art Therapy for the elderly.
The programme is a collaboration between the A.G. Leventis Gallery, the Cyprus Art Therapy Association and the Nicosia Municipal Multifunctional Foundation and will be realized by art psychotherapists Marina Ioannou and Eleni Petridou Boutiri (MA, Msc Art Psychotherapy).
Having as a starting point the paintings of the A.G. Leventis Gallery, the programme will promote social interaction and self-expression through group art psychotherapy with the aim of enhancing mental health and well-being. The participants from the Nicosia Municipal Multifunctional Foundation will have the opportunity to discuss selected paintings from the A. G. Leventis’ Collection and create their own works of art which will then be used to share experiences and feelings.
Programme Duration: 6 sessions (period October 7 – November 18, 2022)
