Very often museums have large spaces and can offer a low-risk environment in transmitting the virus during a pandemic. In addition, studies have shown that a visit at a museum can help combat feelings of social isolation and stress. Frequent visits can turn the museum space into a welcoming space helping in the development of expression, creation and thought.

Lenia Georgiou is an artist and an art therapist. She has a BA Fine Arts from Kingston University of London and has graduated in honors from a two year post degree in Art Therapy from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan.

She is the founder of the first Art Therapy Center in Nicosia, ‘Nefeles’, where she offers Art Therapy sessions to various age groups. As an artist she works with a wide range of artistic means, including installations, painting and performance in the context of conceptual art.
