'The Baobab's Treasure'

On a warm African morning, a young man crosses the lush savannah where he lives in a humble hut with his wife. At some point he arrives at a clearing where he encounters an impressive tree with magical properties, a baobab. The tree opens its heart and offers him untold treasures. News spreads, and soon the baobab comes face to face and has to deal with human greed. Marina and Rebecca Katsaris are excited to be back at the Gallery with yet another experiential workshop as part of the series "Young Philosophers visit to the Gallery", dedicated to the principles and values of empathy, sustainability, respect for nature and natural resources. The workshop is based on and draws inspiration from the porcelain figures which form part of the Gallery's Paris Collection.
