The A. G. Leventis Gallery's Instagram posts have prepared us for its new online campaign on Social Media dedicated to International Women's Day. Once again, the A. G. Leventis Gallery invites its online audience and Instagram profile visitors, to participate in a challening game through which they will get information about the artworks of the A. G. Leventis Gallery’s Collections, while being entertained at the same time.

The concept of the action ‘Who Run the World’ its concept is relatively simple. According to the rules of the well-known game ‘Two Truths and a Lie’, artworks depicting women are presented in Instagram stories, while three statements are given for each work, two of which are true and one of them is false. The visitor, through a quiz, is asked to guess which one is the false statement. This action will run through AGLG’s Instagram page throughout March and will include over 30 artworks.

This action defies the ephemeral and instantaneous nature of Instagram by turning it into a virtual community for interaction, artistic reflection and intellectual challenge. With statements that could be considered as food for thought regarding gender equality, it is almost certain that the visitor will even be affected by the title. ‘Who runs the world? – Girls!’ – True or False?
