Amphitheater "Constantinos Leventis", at 19:30
The A. G. Leventis Gallery returns with the institution of Wednesday Lectures on December 07, 2022 with the lecture George Polyviou Georgiou – Native and Worldy by Dr. Eleni S. Nikita, curator of the Cyprus Collection of the A. G. Leventis Gallery.
The lecture is organised on the occasion of the temporary exhibition "Georgios Pol. Georgiou - Timeless Cyprus". The speaker refers to the subject matter and style of the works of this important artist, who nourished his inspiration almost entirely from the local material: Cyprus, its people and its history. She then proceeds to analyse the works approaching and interpreting their ideological and political content that embraces universal values.
