How can a museum engage children and teens in a creative way?  Could it offer space for exploration through the body and movement?

Using the paintings of the A. G Leventis Gallery, we aim to cultivate the way children and teenagers view a museum. At the same time, we will explore methods of approach that could encourage this group to actively participate and view the museum as a place of interest. During the seminar examples and various activities will be presented.

4th Lecture: Some thoughts on the use of writing in Niki Marangou’s paintings

Speaker: Katerina Attalidou

Observing the paintings of Niki Marangou, her daughter, the artist Katerina Attalidou will explore the origins of the use of the written expression in the painting of this of the pioneering and important poet, writer, and artist.
 
Katerina Attalidou studied History and Art History at the Sorbonne and then received a degree in Painting from the School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has exhibited in Cyprus and abroad. Through her work as an art historian and painter, she explores various aspects of life and places. Katerina has been teaching in the Fine Arts program of the University of Nicosia since 2015.
