In parallel to the temporary exhibition 'Pentadaktylos Contemporaries', which showcases contemporary artists' responses to this emblematic mountain range, a photography competition is being organized.

With the same theme as the exhibition –the mountain range Pentadaktylos, a monument that 'surrounds' Nicosia and is part of its everyday life– this competition is open and free for the public. The competition duration is from May 20 to July 22, 2019, and the first 20 pictures chosen by the committee will be displayed at the A. G. Leventis Gallery in a special exhibition. The first eight winners will be rewarded with monetary prizes of up to 1.000 euros (1^st place: 1.000 euros, 2^nd place: 750 euros, 3^rd place: 500 euros) and other gifts. The winners will be announced by the end of July 2019.
