He studied chemistry at the University of Athens and then left for Paris, where he attended independent painting courses, as well as printmaking courses at the École des Beaux-Arts (1934-1935). In 1936 he returned to Athens, where he settled. He participated in the exhibitions at the Armos Gallery (1949-1952) and the Alexandria Biennale (1957). Athens was a constant source of inspiration in his work, which also comprised figures, objects, Greek landscapes and self-portraits.
